Lion’s Club of Albury – World Festival Of Magic sponsorship

This year, Yield Finance Group were in the very fortunate position of being able to provide sponsorship to the Lions Club of Albury who provided a top-class show for the enjoyment of special needs children and their families from around our community.  With the community’s continued support,  Lions Club of Albury endeavours to bring some fun and respite into the lives of these children, who through no fault of their own miss out on so much that most of us take for granted.

As well as providing a show for kids, the surplus proceeds raised this year will be applied to MERCY HEALTH ACCESS RAMP.  Mercy Health in Albury are building an “Access Ramp” from the old Mercy Hospital into Alma’s Garden, which is adjacent to the old Mercy Hospital.

Presently, palliative care patients cared for in the old Mercy Hospital find it difficult or are unable to access Alma’s Garden. When the access ramp is completed, those patients, their families and friends will have unimpeded access to the garden.

OCTOBER 2017 – Yield Director Brendan Gibbons and his wife Joanne are again supporting the 3rd Annual Daniher’s Drive in support of Fight MND and The Cure for MND Foundation. With good friends John & Wendy Keogh, the Drive starts this year from Melbourne on Thursday the 12th of October, 2017 and runs over 4 days. The Drive takes in Wangaratta, Wagga, Echuca, Ballarat returning to Melbourne on the Sunday.

Neale Daniher heads up the trip, which is designed to raise awareness of Motor Neurone Disease and also to raise much needed funds to assist with finding a cure for this “Beast” of a disease. This year there are 95 vehicles participating in the drive, consisting of over 300 people. This is the 3rd year for our car and presently we are the leading car, having raised just over $60,000. The target for the Daniher Drive in total is to raise $2,000,000. Outside of The Big Freeze held at the MCG annually, this is the next largest fund-raising event for Fight MND team. The Drive has a focus on Fun and Communities as we make our way around the states.

Our Team is known as “The Grasshoppers” and we were proud to have been associated with our very own “Big Bush Freeze” this year held between The Coolamon Grasshoppers & The Wagga Tigers Football Netball Clubs. Both teams have links to the Daniher family. Through the efforts of brave sliders, local businesses and community support, $40,000 was raised on the day going towards our fundraising. Additionally, we have received tremendous support from clients, family and friends to help us get above $60,000 in funds raised. We continue to push our fundraising efforts up until the drive. If you would like to assist us and make a donation please go to the following link. Your support is greatly appreciated.

Everyday, two people die from MND and an additional 2 people are diagnosed. Help us to make a difference. All donations above $2 are tax deductible. Every dollar donated goes to Fight MND.

The Team at Yield are proud to support “The Grasshoppers”.
